National Patient Safety Foundation (NPSF) Welcomes Ivenix to its Patient Safety Coalition
National Patient Safety Foundation Program Aligns Stakeholders from Across Health Care in a Unifying Mission to Promote Safer Care
Boston, MA (November 16, 2016)—The National Patient Safety Foundation (NPSF), a central voice for patient safety since 1997, recently welcomed Ivenix, Inc., as the newest member of the NPSF Patient Safety Coalition.
Ivenix, based in Amesbury, Mass., is a medical technology company focusing on transforming infusion delivery for hospitals and other health settings, by bringing innovation to infusion management with a fundamentally different pump technology, simplified user interface, and IT architecture to support interoperability and data-driven infusion therapy.
“Patient safety and ease of use for clinicians are our highest priorities and a centralized focus for our team,” says Susan Niemeier, MHA, BSN, RN, Chief Nursing Officer of Ivenix. “We are looking forward to working with the Foundation and other Coalition member organizations to advocate for patient safety conversations across technologies and throughout all health care settings.”
The NPSF Patient Safety Coalition was created to align stakeholders across the continuum of health care in a unifying mission to improve patient safety. Membership is open to myriad groups, including organizations working to address patient safety challenges, industry, professional associations, advocacy organizations, and others similarly committed. Coalition members gain valuable opportunities for networking, learning, and knowledge-sharing through quarterly webinars, an annual member meeting, special projects and events, and other high-value activities.
