Susan Niemeier joined Ivenix in May 2016 as Chief Nursing Officer. Susan has 25 years experience in healthcare, beginning her nursing career in complex clinical environments, inspiring her to understand the relationship between technologies, the role of the nurse and the impact on patient outcomes. Prior to Ivenix, Susan served as the Chief Nursing Officer for Capsule Tech, Inc. (A Qualcomm Life Company), a global medical device information system company providing solutions for device integration. Susan also led clinical operations for a RTLS company, where she worked to improve clinical effectiveness, operations and staff & patient satisfaction using RFID. Previously at Ascension Health in Missouri, Ms. Niemeier was responsible for researching, and developing innovative tools and methodologies to transform medication safety, system efficiency and clinical workflow. At Ascension Health, Ms. Niemeier shaped the scope of a ground-breaking study to identify drivers of inefficiency in nursing work processes and nursing unit design.
Ms. Niemeier earned her Master’s Degree in Health Administration from Saint Louis University and Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from the University of Missouri with Sigma Theta Tau distinction. Susan is a Registered Nurse in Missouri and the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and a member of the American Organization of Nurse Executives (AONE) and American Nursing Informatics Association (ANIA).
