John Douglass has over two decades of experience leading and developing innovative strategies for healthcare technology companies. Most recently, he served as the president of Capsule Tech, where he headed US Operations, US Sales, Worldwide Marketing, Product Management, Business Development, and Professional Services. In just over three years, Capsule was recognized as the undisputed market leader in medical device connectivity, releasing a new and innovative product line, developed strategic alliances with most of the leading EMR companies, and quadrupled sales. Prior to Capsule, John co-founded Sentillion (acquired by Microsoft) a pioneering provider of identity and access management solutions for healthcare. Before co-founding Sentillion, John served as senior marketing strategist at Hewlett-Packard Medical Products Group. During the early days of the electronic medical record, Douglass served as product marketing manager for HP’s Healthcare Information Management Division and as product manager of the market leading HP CareVue, a ground breaking precursor to today’s electronic medical record products.
Mr. Douglass received an M.B.A. from The Wharton School and a B.S.M.E. from Tufts University.
