Whether you work in cardiology, pediatrics or oncology . . . whether in a hospital, clinic or home setting, IV Nurse Day acknowledges the skill, commitment and compassion you bring to a particularly challenging area of Nursing.
With infusion therapy virtually ubiquitous throughout healthcare, you play a crucial role in patient care and safety.
Given that the practice of infusion therapy has evolved significantly in recent times, this year’s theme—It’s About InfUSion–celebrates the power of IV nurses as us–both your diversities and similarities. It is equally meaningful to all IV nurses who face many of the same challenges wherever they may treat patients.
As today’s medications become more specialized and powerful and patient care moves increasingly beyond the hospital, often the challenges to your specialty become greater . . . and likewise the rewards.
