Celebrating National Nurses Week
It Takes a Lot To Be a Nurse
Intelligence, stamina, dedication—and the ability to bring them together every day to succeed in a demanding and rewarding profession. The theme of Nurses Week 2017 reminds us all that it takes a lot to be a nurse. After all, back in nursing school, did anyone ever tell you that you’d be keeping countless balls in the air at one time and that balancing everyday workflow might feel like a high wire act?
Many of us were motivated to enter the profession by compassion and a desire to help others. But as our careers progress, true to this year’s theme, we realize that nursing requires so much more. For example, it calls for strong interpersonal abilities to foster positive relationships, staying abreast of the latest research and technology, and maintaining our own health and wellness so that we have the strength to help others regain theirs—not to mention the stamina to stay on our feet all shift, sometimes making balance a literal challenge.
During this special week, Ivenix would like to applaud the efforts of all nurses and say thank you for your dedication, commitment and a job well done. Thank you for taking that extra shift when you had other plans. Thank you for challenging yourself with a difficult course or leading an initiative that improved safety and patient satisfaction. Thank you for going the extra distance to make sick patients smile.
As a company focused on bringing important innovation to a device many nurses encounter almost every day—the infusion pump—we hope to play some role in making your job a little easier. We know our end users—nurses like you—need friendly technology that supports their workflow to help them deliver the highest level of patient care.
Happy Nurses Week. We’re proud to share your dedication to patient care and hope to play a role in supporting your efforts in the future through better, safer infusions.
Sincerely,
Susan Niemeier
